Realising the danger, Myrror extended her wings once more and flew back towards Kyra. She hated the humans, true, but she was not foolish enough to get herself killed.

Kyra had given up the fight with the net, obviously it had been made of something tough, like leather. She only hoped her friend was fine. She had seen the wound that had been inflicted on her.

Myrror landed awkwardly upon the ground, due to the wound in her leg, and limped towards Kyra. When she reached her friend, she sat down and began to gnaw at the net. "Are you alright?" she asked concernedly.

"I should be asking you." Kyra frowned at the wound. "Did they leave?" she looked at the dead body that lay near her. "This stupid net won't break...or maybe my teeth aren't strong enough to break through it."

"I think they left..." she said. "Don't worry about me. The bullet went right through my leg... It's bleeding a lot, but I'll be fine."

After knawing on it for a few more minutes where she already had tried, the stuff broke and she was able to wiggle out of the net, shaking her fur. "Do you think that my parents were captured by the same people? You think they would've been more intent on catching you."

Myrror sighed softly. "I honestly don't know," she said. "I hope not, considering what those humans probably wanted to do to us."

Kyra nuzzled her own red fur. "I like my fur, and I don't wish for anyone to take it away. I always thought I was different because of it, but I like it."

Myrror flapped her flame-hued wings angrily, staring at the dead man. "I would have killed them all if I could," she growled.

Kyra scratched behind her ear gently, looking at the dead man also. "Think he's worth eating?" she asked. "I'm sure we could always go find some fish." she teased.

"That?" Myrror snarled in disgust, clawing at the corpse. "I wouldn't eat that scum if my life depended on it!" She was exaggerating, of course, but she truly despised these humans.

Kyra shushed her as a howl echoed through the lonely forest. "Maybe it's my old pack!" Kyra sent an answering howl, only for it to be answered with the lone howl. "Come on!" she dashed towards the west, continuously howling in hopes of finding the one that made the sound.

Myrror ran swiftly after the younger femme, though she was limping badly now from the wound to her leg. She hoped fervently that Kyra was right this time.

Now, several howls were echoing throughout the forest, and they were getting louder. Kyra stopped in front of a running river after a few moments, looking at the other side where several pairs of eyes looked across the river at them. The moon came over head, casting light upon the animals in the clearing. On the opposite side of the river, there were several wolves, all with the same coloring fur as Kyra. "It's them! It has to be them!" she squealed happily, already trying to cross the river to get to her pack, her true pack.

Myrror gave an anxious whine. The river's current looked strong. She, of course, could fly across it fairly easily, but Kyra had no wings.
