Indeed it was strong and several times Kyra fell against the current, but managed to pull herself back up and keep going. Two of the wolves had gone to the river's edge, but dared go no closer.

Myrror wanted to help her friend, but she didn't know how. She whined softly, stepping slightly closer to the river. Her paws sank slightly into the wet earth.

Kyra still kept going and was reaching the middle of the river now, where the current was the strongest. It was also the softest earth. Kyra's paws sank in omniously. "Almost there." she murmured, trying to keep going but found herself at a standstill. She couldn't move. One of her paws had hooked onto something in the river and she was starting to get over-whelmed by the water. Several of the wolves jumped in, but could only get so far themselves.

Myrror felt a sudden rush of protectiveness towards her young friend, and extended her wings, flying out to Kyra. As she landed in the water however, she realised that there was little she could do with an injured leg.

"Get out of the water, it's too dangerous." It was one of the wolves who had neared. "Just let her go and she'll eventually wash up in the lake." he called out, already starting to back up with the others. Kyra tried to get her leg unstuck, but it just wasn't moving.

Myrror flapped her wings, but they were wet, and she could not get airborne.

Her foot finally unhooked and she was instantly swept down, almost running into Myrror as the water swept her away. She managed to keep herself above water, paddling the best she could while dogding rocks and other obstacles. The wolves ran at the side of the river, hoping the younger wolfess would not get hurt.

Myrror struggled to stay above the surface, and the current carried her alongside Kyra.

After what seemd forever, the two finally made it to the lake. The other wolves jumped in, hoping to help the two strangers, well, one of them was a stranger. The other was familiar to them.

Myrror struggled slightly. Her leg had begun to bleed again.

The other wolves took notice of the blood and tried to pull Myrror from the water, Kyra also helping.

Myrror, exhausted, allowed them to pull her onto the riverbank.

"Rest. You are safe in these lands stranger." The others turned to Kyra, who was trying to dry off. "You look familiar, young one." one of the wolves sniffed her fur, as if trying to figure her out that way.

Myrror shook most of the water out of her flame-hued fur, and lay down upon the dry grass.

"Why were you in pack lands? These parts are extremely dangerous. Humans hunt here for our coats." One wolf asked Myrror.
