Alone at last

Duemos let a small whine pass her maw as she tried to get to the cart, but was retrained by Cecillia. "Aww come on, Cecillia! I'm hungery and the cart is so close. We're not gonna find a place that's still open, anyways." She said, grumbling under her breath. "What kind of store's gonna be open at this hour?" She continued to follow Cecillia, her silver bracelets constantly jingling with every step she took. "I'm tellin' ya, that's the only place where we can get food." She said grumpily.

Cecilla swished her tail then let out an exaggerated sigh. "Fine Due, I'll help you carry it home but I'm not stealing it." She said stopping a few feet away from the cart and crossed her arms over her chest. "You better hurry up or the owner will be back."

Duemos quickly ran up to the cart and placed her forelegs on it to boost herself up so she was on her hind legs. She quickly surveyed the small selection of meats, she was a little disappointed at the meager options. "Oh well, at least it's enough for the night." She said, grabbing the largest piece of meath with her muzzle, then tossing it back behind her so Cecillia could catch it. She did this a few more times until there was only a small, but good looking, steak left on the cart which she grabbed with her maw once again, but didn't throw it back to Cecillia instead to carry it in her mouth. "Better get back to the shack!" She said, her voice slightly muffled by the piece of meat she was carrying in her muzzle. She quickly trotted a few feet past Cecillia, stopping and looking around to make sure that she was following her, at the same time making sure the owner of the cart wasn't coming back.

Cecilla caught the meat only dropping one small one which she quickly picked up. "Alright I'm coming." She called as she rushed after her trying not to drop anything else. when she got to the shack door she kicked it open softly so it wouldn't break. " Where do you want me to put these?" she asked.

Duemos looked back on final time to make sure that no one was following them, still no sign of the cart's owner, good. She quickly darted into her little shack and threw the steak she had in her maw onto the matress she had been previosly sleeping on. She threw a quick look to Cecillia who still had the small selection of meats from the cart in her hands. "Oh, just throw it anywhere. It doesn't really matter." She said making her way back to the mattress where she threw her meal, laying down on her belly once she had reached it. Biting hungrily into the meat she raised up her head as she tore off a pretty good sized chunk of it, her head quizically cocked to the side as she turned to look at Cecillia. "When we were 'bout to take the meat off of that cart, you said 'I'll help you carry it home. Just what did you mean by that, Cecillia? You wanna live in this little shack with me or something?"

Cecilla nodded. "Of course I'm staying with you...." She said smiling happily. "I have no where else to go and if I go home I'll never see day light again and my mom will be really distraught with me." She finished putting the meats down on her mattress and grabbing one herself and biting into it. "Well I'll stay as long as you want me to...." She added after chewing for a few seconds.

Duemos went back to eating as Cecillia was speaking, bringing her head back up and making her ears swivel forward as she finished speaking. "You really wanna stay in this little shack? Okay, whatever floats your boat, stay as long as you want. As long as you don't mind me always bein' in this form." She said with a small smile on her muzzle. "Oh, and congratulations on bein' an accomplice in a theft. That's illegal too ya know." She sarcastically said.

Cecilla frowned "Well of course I don't mind you in that form." She then shook her head. "Yeah I know I'm an accomplice, but hey at least we have food now thats all that counts." She said happily taking another bite out of the meat she was eating.

Duemos finished off the last of the meat she was eating with one more gulp. She then turned over onto her back with all four legs left slightly erect in the air, her one blue eye looking towards Cecillia and a small smile on her face. "Good, 'cause I don't plan on goin' back to my actual form any time soon." She yawned again as she finished speaking, she was still tired from the lack of sleep, that little nap she had earlier didn't even come close to making up for the lack of sleep. It also didn't help that food made you tired if you had enough. "Toss me over a little more, I'm too lazy to get up and get it myself." She said with a small laugh passing through her maw once she finished speaking.

Cecilla smiled and threw a small piece over to her. "I wouldn't care if you stayed this way for the rest of you life, you the same either way." She said happily finishing her food and yawning. "Are you still tired, because I am." She said before yawning again this time stretching her arms behind her head.

Duemos caught the tossed piece of meat in her mouth. She bit down on it hard enough to for a piece of it to stay in her mouth while the rest of it just fell to the ground. After she had finished eating the small bite of meat she spoke. "I think you just like feelin' like my master when we go out on the streets. Oh well, it'll help us get food when we actually get it legally. I still don't think that shopkeeps are gonna let a wolf buy stuff." Her voice was slightly muffled as she said this, as she had take another bite of the meat that had fallen to the floor and had been chewing and talking at the same time. Once she had finished off that piece of meat as well she yawned seconds after Cecillia did. "I havn't slept in two days and I just ate a pretty good meal. You tell me if I'm tired or not." She said, trying somewhat to be a smart ass. Hopefully Cecillia would know that she was just messing around.

Cecilla smiled "oh you have no idea how much me being your master boosts my ego." She said sticking her tongue out at Duemos. Tapping her chin at Duemos's comment she managed a face of deep thinking. "I have come to the conclusion that you must be really tired." She said in a mock serious voice her face also serious like. Then she smiled again and lay back. "Well on that note we should go to sleep and not wake until three days later." She replied her voice somewhat muffled from a yawn.

Duemos let a small playful growl pass her muzzle as Cecillia spoke. "How come I knew that was gonna be the answer?" She went back to looking at her new room mate as she was sticking her tongue out at Duemos. "You better put that tongue back in your mouth before I bite it out!" She said, getting to her feet and going into a fake pouncing position. When Cecillia had layed back down on her back, Duemos wanted to pounce and just irritate her, but she was too damn tired to even think at the moment. She flopped back on her side and curled back up into a ball of fur. "Ehh, wake me up when ya get up in the morning. If ya don't I'll be sleepin' all tomorrow." She said in almost a whisper, voice slightly muffled by her fur. Her breathing slowed and her eyes shut as she drifted back off to sleep.
