The night breeze cast wrinkles in the lake, wrinkles that made ripples, and ripples that made currents. The moon was bright and full, luring the stars out to twinkle. The land was quiet, the sky, endless, the lake, glimmering like a diamond. Denim padded in and headed towards the lake, feeling thirsty after a long days trek. She sat by the water's edge and dipped her head low to drink, the cool water was refreshing and satisfying. She then got up and shook herself, licking her muzzle. She then sat there and stared into the water, its body reflecting the image of a young timber wolf, with eyes like brown amber, and a silvery gray coat. Eyes that questioned the image before her, and even mirrored her heart she felt.
"Oh mirror, mirror of Mizu Lake, what say you that my soul reflects? To merely see is not to perceive, to witness what lies before one, to gaze at one portion, and not the whole portrait, but a piece? An image shows a thousand things, but a soul harbors an endless sea, as a mind harbors infinite knowledge, if only life were as clear. Where one could see, merely believe, where paw prints cast reflections..." Denim watched the image ripple before her, and quietly sat and waited, hoping for an answer. Her powers didn't work all the time, and she was unsure of why, how could she not control it? Is there meaning to this? Is it a sign? Is there an answer?

A winged wolf had been flying on this beautiful night, his body blocking out some of the many twinkling stars as he flew in front of them. His features were masked as he flew past the light from the full moon, his fur rippleing as the gentle winds blew. He looked down at the ground and saw another wolf staring into the lake, a young timber wolf as far as he could tell from his high altitude. He flew lower and lower to the ground until he was able to land on solid earth. Once he landed his features were made visible, he had long white fur, deep golden eyes, a strange black symbol on his forhead, and feathered white wings whcih were now tucked oto his back. He slowly walked towards the young timber wolf, listening to the words she uttered as she looked into the rippeling waters of the lake. "Those are wise words, how could one so young think of that." He said in a soft, polite way. "Ahh, excuse my lack of introduction. I am given the name Caedmon, may I ask what your name is."

Denim's dark amber gaze slowly drifted to Caedmon, her features unsurprised and relaxed. She stared deeply for a second then in a gentle voice replied.
"Denim...Hello Caedmon...I was not expecting anyone to be here...so I was merely speaking to the spirits...or so I thought... It is uncertain if they listen or answer...It is their will to do so, as is any animal's will is to live..."
Her gaze was deep and unmoving as she sat there, the wind seemed to favor her, gently blowing through her silvery gray fur.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Denim." He said, bowing his head as he did.
He brought his head back up to look at the wolfess, his golden eyes slowly scanning over her. "The spirits are fickle...they may be listening one moment, then the next they will not pay heed to a single word." He said, never changing his tone, and his facial expression never changing from it's almost always calming look. "What brings you to these lands at such and hour?"

Denim's eyes went into a deep brown amber, as if in deep thought, she looked to the sky with a serene look.
"The raven told me to pass this way...though it did not tell me why...The spirits are fickle in a way, yet they also work in mystery...We do not understand why at times, because we try to use our sense of reasoning to try to make sense of something we cannot comprehend... Thus trying to put something unfathomable into acceptable sensible terms..."
Her gaze then drifted back to him, calm like the wind, yet as deep as an ocean. She then sighed softly, and shook herself lightly, feeling slightly chilly.

Caedmon's golden eyes scanned over the land, taking in the sight of the full moon reflecting off of the water, its reflection being distorted due to the gentle breeze causinf the water to ripple. "I will not question any further. Fatigue is setting in and I am tired. I have not slept in days." Caedmon said, yawning on the last few words. He turned his calm gaze back to the female. "Where are you from, Denim?"

Denim's gaze shadowed at his question, as her eyes went down, so did her heart she felt.
"I don't remember...I came from a land far, far away...It was not of my will to come here...yet the spirits urged me here, though I do not know why...But-"
Before she could even utter another word, her eyes opened wide, and her body stiffened, like a rock. She turned her gaze to the forest and dare not even breathe.

"It seems that I brought up something you do not wish to-" Caedmon stopped in mid sentence, seeing that Denim was no longer heeding his words. He looked in the direction she was, towards the forest. The calm look had never left his face, it rarely did, but he was curious to know just what caused this female's sudden fear. He looked back down at Denim, "What is it, Denim? What is approaching?"

Suddenly, the winds ceased blowing, and all around seemed to turn to dead silence. Denim's eyes fixed in the forest, as if seeing something, or sensing it. Just then, a cloudy figure appeared from virtual nothingness in the forest, its white glow shunning the darkness as it flew towards them. The magical owl flew in and settled on a nearby branch, making not so much as a sound as it landed. It's eyes focused on Denim, and then, Its eyes lit a feral red, and at the same time, Denims eyes glowed white. As if, seeing something, through its eyes. Her legs began to strain from the amount of energy she was losing, but she could not help it. When the vision finished, Denim's eyes returned to her amber brown, and the owl dissolved into thin air. Denim then fell forward, catching herself before she hit the ground, and shook her head, trying to regather her thoughts.

((AWWW LOOK AT DA OWL....)) Caedmon said nothing during the strange encounter, he just simply watched. I see something stranger every day, he thought to himself. When the strange owl disappeared into nothingness Caedmon saw Denim fall forward. He quickly ran over to her. "I'm guessing that was one of the spirits. What did it show you, glowing eyes don't just happen for no reason." He sat down on his rump, waiting for an answer.

Denim shook her head and tried to gather her thoughts, feeling disoriented after the encounter. She tried to sit up, but fell onto Caedmon, leaning on him for support, but she didn't really notice. "The ...the ocean...Where...where is it?...Somethings wrong...Wha...how..." She couldn't really make sense of it, only she knew she must go there. Her head began to droop low, she strained to keep herself conscious.

Caedmon almost stumbled when Denim fell onto him, he wasn't really expecting it. He regained his balance and looked at the female. "The Asanagi Ocean is the southern border of these lands. Why, what is happening there." The calm look disappeared from his face. That's where his mate was at this moment, and to make things worse she was pregnant with their first litter of pups.

Denim shook her head again, and she was able to focus more. She stood up, wobbly at first, but she regained her balance. She looked to Caedmon and sat down.
"I...I saw the water, the sand... There was someone there... I couldn't make out her face though... but, I heard young...What is the meaning of this?"
She looked away and tried to think, trying to recall what she saw. The female looked rather plump, maybe she was with pups? Maybe, she was ready? Denim figured she would find out when she gets there.

Caedmon was trying to think, could his mate be giving birth NOW. He stepped in front of Denim when she had finally regained her balance, his wings flared out as he prepared to depart for the ocean.
"Please, you have to tell me more about the vision. There has to be more to it!" He said, a pleading tone in his voice.

Denim noticed Caedmon's change in demeanor, and figured that female was his mate. She focused hard, invoking the power of the great spirits sight. She saw the female, she was pregnant, but the sun was up, perhaps it was sometimes tomorrow when she would birth. She was near the shore relaxing, and there were pups around her the next instant. Denim tried to focus more, but trying to control her powers was so draining, she felt as if she could pass out any second.
She couldn't hold the image anymore and it vanished, Denim then fell to the floor, completely drained. She managed to utter one feeble sentence before everything went dark.
"She will birth...but not tonight...tomorrow, by the...shore...when the sun is highest...in...the sky..."
Everything went black after that as Denim blacked out.
