Kalasin jumped to the side with a grin. "I might be, you never know." She teased, aiming to cuff him in the side of the head as he passed by. Turning to Death she nodded forgiveness. "I understand." She replied lightly.

Death sighed as the two played around. She attempted to entertain herself by playing around with her dark matter. She changed into a human girl, in the later teen years, with Short black hair and minimum leather armor on. She whipped her hands out and started to form the black mass into many things, and at one point in time, created a life-size image of Casus, having it sneak up behind him and tap him on the back. Hopefully, it would surprise him.

Casus grinned, and skillfully dodged Kalasin's blow, he then turned and attempted to mess around with Death seeing that she was a dragon no more. He narrowed his eyes disapprovingly, huh a human worthless pathetic creature, always trying to kill or capture things out of the usual, the unicorn, the phoenix, the dragon. Once again he was lost in thought, and didn't notice death playing with dark matter, so when he got tapped on the shoulder he snapped out of his day dream, "what Kalasin?" he inquired, turning his head to where the tap came from, to be greeted by a similar figure, Casus growled dipped his head and breathed his black fire at the intruder. Realizing it was just a shadow manipulation, he then said "Ha i had you going there, making you think that i didn't know that that was just shadows." With one toss of his head he dispersed the shadow form of himself, "What is this today, everyone try and give Casus a heart attack? you Lady's a vicious. "

Kalasin watched the dark matter with an amused look as it tapped Casus on the shoulder and he blamed it on her. "Poor Casus, so dillusional. Last time I checked, I was a blue dragon, not black and plain like you two." She teased, laughing when Casus tried to attack Death's Casus. She nodded agreement. "Yes, we are, and that's why we got 2nd and 1st place in the fight and you got last." She said with light humour, goading him on.

Death laughed. Her trick had worked. "A little uptight, aren't we?" she chuckled, then, adding under her breath, said, "And a little embarrassed..." she sat, content at what she had done, and suddenly decided that she wanted to be a wolf. It was one of her favorite forms. "So..." she asked in wolf-speak, though she thought it in her mind, so they could understand it, also. "What shall we do now?"

Casus looked at the floor, "hilarious ladies.ā Casus said ignoring deaths comment about embarrassment. He then raised his head and looked towards the sky solemnly, something on his mind, something that has obviously been there a long time. "Tell me, what is the meaning of existence? Why is it that when ever you work at something, something to give you happiness, you finally find a partner someone to love and loves you, damn life snatches it away again leaving you with nothing? Am forever destined never to get close to anyone? Why do the gods give me nout but pain?" Casus said, as if he had said it many times, but he spoke to no one in particular, rembering he was in company, Casus said quietly āIām sorry, I forgot where I was. Ignore my babbling.ā He decided to swiftly change the subject, "anyone for hunting?" he asked limply.

Kalasin shifted her emerald gaze onto Casus, listening to his speech. She shrugged and looked down at the water. "I don't know. Fate has a cruel hand." She stated sadly. Her eyes clouded over in thought. Casus' voice brought her out of her memories and she grinned. "Hunting sounds good. What do you think Death?" She asked.

It seemed as if they had all been entranced.
Apparantly, Casus's words struck home, as unintentional as they may have been. Her eyes, too, clouded over, though she felt herself slipping away from reality as she sank into one of her horrid memories.
Why did he take them? Why? She had only been a child, newborn, not yet weaned when it happened. She had always been feared because of her eyes and dark aura. The only one that even came close to caring was her mother. Her father despised her. During her mother's pregnancy, her father stayed in his wolven form, hunting and caring for the pups when they were born. He would always glare at her when he passed. She wondered what she had done wrong...
But she knew. She knew that something was wrong with her, something that drew others to the point of insanity. She would always sit, sepearated from the rest, in a corner of the den. The only time she would leave was to eat, dispose of her waste, and to prove that she was above her siblings. She lived a dark, cold life.
One day, when her mother was out, she was fighting on of her siblings, a brother, who had walked up to her stiff-legged and demanding a fight. She had snarled, her fur raising, and stood, snarling and circling him. He did the same, following her movements. She remembered the anger at being rivaled vividly, and she was willing to kill her own brother for dominance if she had to. He made the horrid mistake of attacking first. Leaping forward, he attempted to sink his teeth into her leg. She leapt nimbly aside, her teeth sinking into the back of his neck before backing off and leaping forward once more. She slashed with her teeth into his stomach, his shoulder, ripping his ear to ribbons.
She towered over the quivering puppy, her eyes burning in defiance. She glared at him, her hair still on end and a growl still rumbling from her only somewhat-grown vocals. But it was definately a horrid growl for one of her age. She raised her claws to administer a final punishment, even though she hadn't been scathed, but one of her sisters leapt on her back, sinking her teeth into her flesh. She buckled, rolling on top of the pup to make her release her grip. She did.
She slashed into the young wolven's haunch, turning to face her three remaining siblings, two brothers and one sister. She snarled, and they all leapt onto her. She fought furiously, not even wincing as her ear was torn, her shoulder, her leg...
She stood, having beaten down her own s iblings, rage overcoming her senses. She was covered in blood, some her own, some her siblings'. She stood, panting and towering over them in defiance, until the adrenealine left her body and she realised what had happened. She stood, shocked, her whiteless eyes wide in horror.
They were dead.
All of them. They didn't move, didn't breathe.
Her father came in, a limp rabbit hanging from his mouth, and when he saw her among her dead kin, rage overtook him and he struck out. One swipe and she was thrown out of the cave, her small form crumpling in an unconcious heap beside a tree, a single bush her only shelter.
Her mother appeared, and from what she saw, her husband had killed her young. She fought with him, but hte fight was short-lived. When Death next awoke, she found her mother, barely alive, at the entrance of the cave. Her mother, the one she loved, the only one that loved her back.
She became known as an omen of Death.
Everywhere she went, animals feared her, and started calling her The Dark Wolf of Death. At one year, she discovered some of her powers, and searched for her father, hunting him down...
...Hunting sounds good. How about you, Death?" She snapped out of her trance, looking at Kalasin with a confused expression on her face for a moment. Suddenly, she remembered where she was, what had happened. She inhaled deeply, gathering her strength, and quickly jumped into the air, turning into a black falcon in mid-air. She soared into the air, diving down on an unsuspecting bird and dropping it at Kalasin's feet, turning into her previous form of a black dragon as she landed. "That sounds good..." she said, trying to keep her old enthusiasm, but it was gone. Nothing could fix her horrid past.
[Tragic, and long... *sigh* Yes, maybe one of my better posts? (One of my longest on Shinkou, too, I believe.]

Casus tried to lighten tohe mod he had just created. "ah, well we all have memories i see." watching the others actions, also he felt the sorrow and anger through his mind. he turned to death watching her closely, "are...are you ok death?" he asked warily, he wasn't too good at comforting but he would try his best. he watched her morph and take down the bird. "look at that a natural born killer..." casus said without realising the impact that his misplacement of words may have on death. he once again crouched and lanched his heft body into the sky, hovering waiting for the others actions.
(( that was a mighty long post but it was fine because it was so well written. sorry about the lenght of mine ive got to go out soon so you know.))

((Ick, sorry, I've been really busy. -.-))
Kalasin sighed and watched Death with a slightly worried expression. She shrugged as the black shapeshifter took to the skies and followed. She launched her agile body into the air with no effort and looked around for something to catch. She spotted a large seagull farther off and made the wind draw the bird closer to her. When it was in hitting range, she swatted it with a paw and then grabbed it, breaking it's neck.

[Thanks, Casus, for the comment on my post. ^^]
Death watched as Kalasin caught the bird, just as she had, and swooped down, narrowly avoiding the ground. Instead, she swooped up with the bird, swallowing it whole. She suddenly realized exactly how hungry she was. She tried to focouse one hundred percent on hunting, but found she couldn't. Too many thoughts were racing through her head. What if she had another flash back? What if she became so absorbed in a memory that she crashed, or something else? Not that she cared about the last. The former was the most important. Even if she 'died', she would just have to make another body.
Still, that was a rather exhausting process. Suddenly, the thought of her pups popped into her head. They were supposed to stay in the den, but if Demin was gone, too...
Sighing and shaking her head softly, she reminded herself to keep a lookout for the pups.

Casus watched the others catching measily birds. he rose higher, and said "now now ladies i ment hunting, not swat at flies lets find something worth killing." he playfully swooped and dived above the other two. he took a look back to see Death sigh, he performed a loop the loop and flew up level with her, and softly said " are you alright you seam some what.... concerned." he kept a steady pace flying next to her. " After we could return to the cave and talk some more or find some other ways to entertain our selves." after awating to hear Deaths reply, casus attempted to playfully dive bomb kalasin.
((i know its short and not worth the wait but i think ive lost my muse...))

[Oh, crud! I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was my turn! Oh, I'm sorry. XD Posting.]
"Yes, let's hunt... But, I'm sorry to say, I have pups that are quite mischevious." She shook her head almost sadly. "They often stray from the den. If they get out..." She trailed off, a smile softly brushing her lips - or, rather, her mouth. Did dragons have lips? She chuckled softly, lazily drifting across the sky, waiting for Casus to lead. He was the oldest, probably, and it made sense for him to lead anyway, being as he wanted something other than birds. She wanted to see what he had in mind.
Suddenly, though, she saw her mate. She sheepishly excused herself, telling them that she would join them later on, then glided down to meet him. [Hey, sorry, but Death's mate, Demin, wants me in another thread, so I'm going to leave, then I'll try to come back into the thread. ^^]
