Ranin blinked as the fire flashed up in front of him, nearly burning his nose. He backed up slowly, then moved around the fire gazing inside. The raining blood was a nice touch, he though maybe he should try to learn that. He dragged himself slowly around, savouring the heat in the night. It was summer already, but still he liked it. It was so toturous... He loved it. He brought himself to the side Kade was on.... Kade, a one on one with Kade... What would it be like, to again taste another's blood?? What would it be.. Why not? He dropped his head and stared wistfully at Kade... A coveting wistfulness for the blood in his veins... To tear out his heart... To spill his guts. Oh, quite sickening thoughts, so much unnatural destructiveness. It felt good, solemnly good... He loved the sad feeling of killing, of ending life... So sad... So sad. The raining blood stained and dampened his coat, it would slow him down, but also slow down Kade... Kade... His dinner... Kade would give his blood, and his flesh, and so shall be one of Ranin's last suppers... And then, afterward, Ranin would cast his ghastly yowl over the land, crying to all about what he had done... The yowl of a fox... The yowl of a lost soul...
He walked up to Kade, resisting a sick smile, and smelt his blood. Ranin came up to Kade, and nodded solemnly, eying the fleshwound. "Would you like me to help with that??" Ranin came closer and lowered his head submissively, and moved closer nonthreateningly. He had to resist his tear, his lamenting beforehand...

Slowly, cold eyes watched with mild fascination as the ring of fire formed around them, sealing them in, sealing in their fates. And he nodded, a solumn and respectful nod. This would be good, and perhaps he would not kill her just then, he smiled and read into her mind, wanting to know what made her tick, what made her so eager to die here at his claws? Dome lowered with a slow and eager deliberateness and those eyes flashed hungrily. He kept the hunger at bay for then though, wanting to see where this escapade lead them too. The hunger was a trivial, unknown want, nothing he needed, just some kind of sloppy, eager beast in his chest calling for blood, for the tang of her sweet, hot juices flowing down his gullet. But when? When? Carefully he watched the anger in her. So much anger. Where had it come from?
Further, Twisted peeled into the layers of the female kitsune's mind, feeling the blacks and and bruised blues of hurt there. Twisted saw the torment, and suddenly, he knew how he would push her buttons, make her make the first move. That was what he wanted. Silverine tails flared and puffed, making them seem bigger then they really were, giving the four-tailed kitsune a large and menacing look of looming danger. Green eyes became shadowed. "Why are you so willing to fight, Kit? Was it them - your family who hurt you? Was it their torments and their crudeness that makes you so angry? They hurt you bad....but I can make it better if you let me, Kit. Your brother is no longer here to help, but I may help. You cannot push everyone away."
Twisted lowered his dome, tall ears backa with a simple modesty to them. He ignored tyhe hot flames crackling hungrily on eaither side of him. Shoulders rolled and he advanced, slowly though, non-threateningly almost. But it was in those eyes, the craziness he could not cover up. The lust for blood and feeling it hot all over his body. Tingling again in his nether regions, he paused in his advances and blinked, dipping his head low as if to kiss one of the femme's paws. Close enough now. The back of his furry silver neck was completely exposed, but Twisted was hovering on unsubstancialism. He was half between the form of a spirit and the form of the living. If she tried to drive her jaws into his shoulderblades she would bite nothing but air. Closer still.

Kit's brow furrowed as the male kitsune spoke. Apparantly he, too could read minds. She stiffened as he spoke, then snarled her reply "Help me? I am beyond help." she backed away slowly, crouching so low that her belly hugged the ground, watching him.
Kade threw himself against Kit's wall of flame, water rising from beyond the cliff to arc in front of him, dowsing the heat. But the wall flashed back to life, striking out at Kade. She didn't even have to think of it... Her magic did it on it's own. If he were to cover himself in water, the flames would evaporate it. He was trapped outside. When Twisted spoke, he once more threw himself against the wall, the water flowing continuously in front of him as he tried to get in. The flames knocked him back, but he yelled past the roar, "Kit, don't listen to him! He can't help you! You can't... You musn't let yourself go again!"
There was one part of the memory he had left out.
As the other kitsune's attacked her, and before Kade could get to her, she had physicly attacked everyone. It felt as if Kade's head was going to explode. Everyone stopped, except for him... He dragged her out... It didn't stop until she faded into unconciousness...
That couldn't happen again.
Kade turned to see Ranin, approaching. Ranin was hungy, ready to fight. He couldn't allow that kind of distraction. He had to keep up with Kit and Twisted... In case anything happened. He took a step back, shaking his head as Ranin offered help. "It's nothing much... It doesn't even hurt, really. It just stings some. I'll be OK." He strained to hear the next part of the conversation/fight with Kit.

Ranin cracked a sadistic smirk, and continued aadvancing on Kade. He was at him now, trying to get shoulder-to-shoulder with him. He said he didn't need help with it, it only stung.... His large, yellow teeth showed as his smirk cracked into an unnerving smile, and he padded faster toward Kade's side. He spoke softly and quietly, "Good... Because you're going to have to help me.. End this now, Kade, before they turn out right. Now, Kade, end me!" Ranin's form seemed to loom in the colourless world, his mane and tails poofing out to increase his visual size. His ribs were still visable, and he was still emaciated, but he was not weak, and was not going to fail easily... No... The task of this was so too often acted out. He snarled viciously and lunged at the kitsune. Thoughts of killing and slaughtering filled his mind, all with the rythm of an angry drum, and his thoughts pulsed. But, he was not like the other. He didn't enjoy killing like the Twisted did, he loved it somberly. It's sadness is what attracted him, and the horrid down it gave. To him, it was more like a downer... It depressed him and the depression loved him. It let him know who he was. Alas, it was no matter of power or control over another living thing. He always howled so fullheartedly afterwards, his yowl of unbarable anguish... A crimson tear sled down his cheek... A thought surfaced outu of the rest just then as he was within feet of his victim, 'to die alone without a name...'

Hellionic orbs burned like the fires around him. Kit coruched, and he followed her movements like a cobra, a viper with its heat-seeking pits trained upon the haughty femme. Shouldes roiled with his movements and he crouched with her, keeping her eyes to his. Ears went back, submitting him. His neck had been exposed and she had not taken the chance. Did that show something about her? Maybe, maybe, he mused. Maybe that she was a fool, she could have killed him, be he a normal fox. Her attempts would have been in vain, but at least they would have been attempts. Indeed, Twisted sensed her mistrust, and with good reason, he gave her that. Why trust a bloodthirsty, mind-hunting kitsune, whose eyes spoke of a tough past of his own. But more and more he found himself resisting the urge to fight.
For a moment, he fancied Kit's jaws closing around the nape of his neck, teeth peircing his flesh and then crunching into the grainy cartalage and bone of his spine. The spurt of blood and spinal fluid dripping like sickly pink rain down his shoulders, soaking him. That final haze of watery pain before the world goes black and fades into the nothingness again. ' Hello darkness, my old friend,'. So tempting was it. Not that Twisted was suicidal, just curious. And the world spun back into reality. But this reality was stretched to its seams, seeming ready and full to bust. This was all a fault of the spinning aura of darkened energies clashing here and there. Magic was a powerful thing, one had to be quite carefuly.
So finally, those sly eyes moved from her and stared off into the flames behind the femme, the flames her had back her up against, a hot hungry wall of potent energy. He listened to the goings on beyond the wall, felt Ranin's hunger and felt angrily suddenly. Turning partial attention away from the femme he snapped his mind down like a large boot, stomping upon Ranin's intent, trying to soothe it. But the other;s hunger was vast, so he let it go. He had his own confrontation to look forward to. Dome snapped back to Kit, ears gone back, things felt like they were dragging far too much. How god-damn tedious.
One paw sneaked forward and his lips peeled back in a smile that was very dim, somewhat dangerous, perhaps mixed with a little bit of insanity. Claws kneaded the earth almost eagerly. Too eagerly. His voice was asoft and soothing one, ignorant to the confrontation raging beyond the flames. "How do you know that to be true Kit? How do you know? Look into my mind and see what I have been through. No-one ever understood me, they shunned me...but I got them back...I could help you get YOUR demons back, Kit. I could teach you." And thus formed a plan in his mind, a plan for the ages. His lust to battle was gone, but he would defend himself if the occasion called for it. Shaded by the eerie shadows cast by the hot dancing flames, his smile grew sinister.

Kit furrowed her brow in thought, obviously contemplating his offer. "How do I know I can trust you?" she asked, with just a hint of tensness leaving her body. "And what do you mean, 'get my demons back?'"
Kade's eyes widened as Ranin approached. "Ranin, stop!" he commanded firmly, trying to use his powers to pacify. He once more summoned the water, bringing it in an arc again, though this time right in front of Ranin. If he got too close, it would slice a few hairs off. He wasn't trying to do any real damage right now.

Ranin launched himself back as the water landed with force in front of him. Ow, that would hurt him greatly... The water appeeared grey, lifeless... Hm... He stepped right up to the water slowly, and felt the stray drops hit him with some force, though not enough to be acknowledged. The water hit the ground and eroded it away, and soon there would be a pothole there.. It reached out and touched his paws... It was icey, frozen. It wanted his life, his soul. But, he knew, he could almost smell it. Kade would not hurt him... Yet... Kade was only bluffing. He could tell he would not strike back, even after being knocked around a bit... Ranin never released his uneasy grin. His uneasy, sadistic, insane grin... He stared through the water at Kade, and then nodded. He turned around slowly, and seemed to casually stroll away a few feet, then he stopped. "Kade..." he began, "You must do it, to help me! Do something to hurt me, to kill me now, or forever suffer your consequinces. Decide, Kade. If you do not strike me down, then, at the very most, you will leave scarreed physically. Now, a strike to the neck... But..." Ranin turned around and faced him, A strong gust of rancid wind blowing past him directly to Kade. It smelled of blood and carrion... "Don't kill me off so quickly. Savour it, feel it, enjoy it. Perhaps... Scalping me... Oh, don't you love it, the pain, I mean?" He advanced... "Or, Hehehe.. Rip the skiin and muscle off of my spine?"
Ranin lunged forward, through the water with great speed. If all went right, he'd crash into the ground behind it, his momentum carrying him through it.
OOC:((I couldn't just go around, it would be too unsuicidal! XD))

Twisted gave a snarl as his concentration was broken for a split second. Head cocked towards where he sensed Ranin and Kade to be with snake-like accuracy and a small curse was uttered under his breath. What a god-damned suicidal fool this Ranin was. Perhaps he should have killed the pathetic thing when he had met him as he had planned. Oh well, it was Kade's problem now. And as quickly as the concentration was broken it came back, and he redoubled upon himself. He was so close to Kit he could have snipped off one of her whiskers with his teeth. Casual and smooth he attempted to weeve himself into her mind. Seduce her into his grasp. He was so close now, so close, but getting closer still. His hot breath, smelling strangely of forest spearmint washing across her nose as he tried his best to hold her still. 'I will not hurt you...you have some purpose.'
"Kit, your demons are the thoughts and dreams that haunt you late at night, make you toss and turn and slaver at the mouth. For you know they shouldn't have treated you so, just because you were different. They should have worshipped you, like the goddess you are." Leaning carefully, making sure his green orbs were still pressed deeply into the she-fox's own dark spheres. Those quivering silverine tails stood tail like bottle-brushes, stiff out behind him, something he could not really control. As smooth as he seemed, the stress was visible, in the poise of his body. There was almost a desperation there, in the small skim of sweat forming on his brow. Still he tried to curl into her mind, loving the sweet caress of it against the tendrils of his own. Inside of him he was fighting the delicate urges to close his eyes in contentedness and revel in the deep well of despair that was this female's mind.
Warm, wet nose pressed against her right forepaw, as he sent the thought through into her mind. It came as a sweet caress. 'I will help you, my sweet. Help you get them back. I can show you how to take your revenge. Just come with me. Your brother would not understand it, he is weak in that way. He does not realize your potential. Come with me love. I will teach you.' And the fires burned around them.

Kade gritted his teeth, sweat forming on his furrowed brow. "Ranin," he pleaded. He dropped the water as the kitsune sprang towards it, doging limbly out of the way and towards the side of the cliff. He brought the water up once more, this time hurtling towards Ranin, aimed to knock him into the water below, that long fall that Kit had not taken so long ago. Summoning up the water once more, he had it surround himself like a giant, watery suit of armor. Plunging towards the flames, he felt part of the water evaporate, but he brought more, in a thin twisting tendril, to fuel his armor, his lifeline through the fiery pit of hell. Emerging on the other side, he brought the water above the flames, in the same form of tendril. He brought it, wavering, into a swirl around him, ever fueled by the water past the cliff. He sent a few shots of the tendril towards the unsuspecting Twisted, in small bits, like solid bullets. But in reality, these would do much worse damage. Since they were water, they would explode on impact. And if they penetrated the body...
Kit's eyes glazed over as she thought about his preposition. He knew everything... She, almost willingly, allowed him to twist his way into her mind, and she felt his words, his thoughts, his feelings, surrounding her like a cursed embrace. Gentle, yet contain pain beyond imagination. She allowed him to touch his nose to her paw, locking gazes with him. She smiled as he sent the last, convincing thought into her head. She sent her own back - You're right... He's not. Show me, teach me... energy surged though her, fueled by the anger she had dealt with long enough, and her smile turned, almost evil and demented. Her eyes smoldered with the thought of wreaking revenge, of killing those that had harmed her, or, better yet, injuring them and letting them crawl away in pitiless shame.
Without even flinching, a line of fire shot up behind Twisted, in the path of the water-bullets. It was just long enough to have them evaporate before they reached them. The line faded, then shot forward, close to the ground at first, but reaching high into the ground as it hurtled towards Kade. She lifted her head, the blood-red rain pouring down on her face. She let out a long, piercing howl, her eyes closed as she sang a song of newfound peace.
Kade widened his eyes. She had blocked his attack? Why? He saw the flames rushing towards him, and darted out of the way, his water striking out to counter it. Why was she attacking him? Had she gone mad?
The two elemental tendrils battled each other away, niether gaining nor losing ground, as Kade stood motionless, his eyes transfixed on Kit.

Ranin made a bark-like snarl as Kade lifted the water and dodged to the side. He stopped and turned, skidding almost off the cliff, and rose up on his hindlegs to keep from falling off. He looked left at where Kade was last, and saw the water coming around to push him off. He fell forward on his paws, the spellsigns carved in his paws glowing bright, bright red. A heavy, loud pulse of wind flew up from the ground in blades and slashed the water, and Ranin looked aside again just long enough to see Kade go through the fire. "Damn it!!" he snarled furiously, bristling all over, "You come here and fight like a kitsune! This is not a petty sparring match!!" He screamed and cursed into the fire, to Kade beyond it's walls. Though, he had a hidden trick. He looked around quickly, and saw nothing that he could use. All the trees were too young, too short. So, he glared into the fire, dragging a few thoughts out of his frenzied mind. "Kade! You never leave an opponent time to calculate! He has her now, you cannot help! Come here and end me, Kade, not the one in there!! Come prove them wrong and kill me!! Spill my blood!!" He glared, muzzle twisted into a malicious snarl. All the thoughts in his mind began to fade, being mixed into a strange, unsortable mess, losing their contrast. He was becoming unraged greatly... Not good to fight on a one-on-one.... He made another high-pitched, bark type snarl, and rose up on his hind legs. He slashed and slashed at the fire with his blades of wind, but the fire rose below them. He looked around, and walked towards it, for a second intending to try to run through it and incinarate himself in the phosphorous... The bloody wine rain beat down on him, his red clouds in the sky storming, and a great clap of thunder sounded somewhere right above them. He could not get in, and he looked around furiously to find something to take out his fustration on... Only a long rotted treestump... He was about to blow it apart when he realized... His trick... If he could proppel himself over the fire wall.
"Ready yourself, Kade we are not done yet! Don't ever walk away from someone who means to die!! You never know what they'll do!!"

Slow saticfaction spread like disease across his maw, and the fur upon the nape of his neck rose in delight. Ears swivelled as a noise caught his attention, disruption in Kit's magic, the fires around them swirling and angry he noticed. Green eyes that were once soothing turned bright an animalistic, an unlovely shade of insanity playing within them. Twisted snapped his dome to the side just in time to acknowledge the bullets of water speeding towards him. Body braced and his labrums peeled back in an ugly snarl. His own magic stirred, body switched to ether, and he was a spirit. Twisted looked almost like a holagram for those few moments, flickering in and out of focus like a projection of some sort. Eyes were wild and angry and tails went up like a peacock's fan, waving on his rump. But something else caught his ready attention, and those wild eyes watched as the fire formed a protective blanket about his narrow silverine form. It was only then that Twisted's saticfaction curled back in, an ugly snake of deciet.
Body came back to its solid formation, becoming flesh and bone once more. The fires about him faded away and Twisted began to laugh like a maniac, watching brother and sister battle it out, their elements and magics clashing, the air churning madly. His laughter mixed and melded perfectly with the craziness that had insued. Ranin was shouting, angry, propelling himself over the wall, but Twisted had decided that enough was quite enough. He smiled to Kit. 'Let us not waste out time with fools then, Kit.' He motioned with his head, a swift jerk of the muzzle and turned towards both interlopers, Kade and Ranin. One fighting a losing battle with a monster he had supressed for far too long, the other an enraged suicidal beast on the verge of lunacy. Nay, he had crossed such line already. A smug look appeared on such a muzzle, enclosing his fangs, nose unwrinkled and he set his shoulders squarly apart. The blood rain came down in torrents now, sheets of the warm liquid bathing all of them.
"Enough!" And movement itself seemed to halt. The rain paused, in mid-air, crystaline droplets of crimson daubed against a sky. The thunder and lightning stopped, everything becoming harshly silent. So silent that his last word seemed to hang in the air echoing forever more. Enter the powers of a Spirit Fox. His own invisible hands began to smother both Kit and Kade's elements. They enclosede Ranin, attempting to halt his movement, and make his stop his insanity. He was then beside Kade, seeming to appear out of thin air. "Your sister is with me now, Kade. She has made her choice." Then his bodice slipped into the ether, no longer substancial, he was spirit again. It was time to leave, flickering body nodded to Kit.

Kade growled in frustration. Here he was, battling his own sister. And Ranin, poor suicidal Ranin, was still throwing himself at him, begging for death. Suddenly, he found that he no longer had control over the water that was hovering in mid-air, and it dropped on him, washing away the crimson liquid that had been falling. He looked around, appalled and stunned by the freezing of the rain.
Kit smiled to herself as Twisted stopped everything. What if he could teach her to have this kind of power? What if she, too, could stop things at wil, smother the elements, hold rain in place... Her smile broadened at the thought. She watched as he appeared next to Kade, and spoke to him. She looked directly at Kade, sending out a thought.
'He's right... I'm with him, now... It's no use. You knew I was gong to leave eventually. It was always lurking in the back of your mind, a constant fear. You knew, yet you still tried to stop me, even though you knew it was futile. For that, I thank you brother, but it is now time that we part.'
With that, she turned and followed Twisted, her eyes clouded over and the sick smile still on her face as thoughts of revenge flickered through her mind.
Finally, they would pay...
Kade stood stock still, moitionless, as the two spoke to him. "She's... leaving?" he said in a murmer, not quite understanding. His vision snapped to meet hers as she spoke, his eyes filled with hope, hoping that she would tell him that Twisted was lying. But she didn't. He felt his soul crumple at her words, and he wrenched his gaze away, staring at the ground as tremors wracked his body.
'You're leaving, then...'
There was no reply. She was gone.
He fell to the ground, silent sobs wracking his form.

Ranin was over the wall, and tumbled onto his stomache. As he looked up and attempted to stand again, everything froze midmotion, and his eyes widened as the drop of bloody rain that was about to fall on his nose froze. He focus on it a second, the back to the others. Kit had submitted. Submitted. Just like Nastasha had to death. Cold death. And her eyes frozen, glazed with death, but still kind. She gazed upon him kindly in her last moments, and her words rang out. 'Fret not...' Fret not, yet fretted he had... He watched kit turn her back on her own blood, and instead of her, he saw Nastasha as she walked away, and almost saw her tumble down... Down to the cold. Only it wasn't cold, and she didn't tumble. Kit walked away... To never turn back. And Ranin let a blood tear fall down his cheek.
A crimson tear of mourning. She did not look back... Not to her brother? And, never look back on something bad. Ranin stood up, and stumbled over to Kade. His will to fight left, and he again stumbled to a fall beside him. He was weeping. Weeping heavily. And Ranin lamented, too. For another's loss. He shuddered, and spoke softly and warmly, no insanity in his voice.
"Fret not, Kade. Fret not. Live, live, and continue. Forget not, but don't let it tear you down..." He took a deep, quivering breath, and continued shakily, more bloody tears rolling down his cheeks, and soon all was tinted red. "Kade... Do not end up lilke me... Kade..."
He looked up. The moon was shining bright in the sky, now, now that his clouds had gone away, and the stars were bright. "Though no blood was spilled... I am full of sorrow. Kade, sing your troubles out... As the fox yowl of lament is sung, the heart heals... Kade..."
