Kade nodded. "I, too, am willing to give my life for my sister. Always have." Sighing, he looked to the area where Kit and Twisted had dissappeared to. Once more, he spoke without looking back. "I ask you one thing, though... Where does your allegience stand?" He had sensed the uncertainty in Ranin, and wanted to be sure. He also recognized that burning need fjor revenge. He had sensed it many times in Kit. And right before she left. "I have to know you won't turn on me..." He turned his gaze on Ranin, which was, for once, sharp and piercing.

Ranin furrowed his brows at Kade's question, a sudden feeling of slight nausia (sp?) hitting him. He stared at Kade, looked him in the eye, his energy stirring up as if he was just offended. He was not nogitsunne, therefore his alliegence should not be questioned. A slight rage filled his thoughts the more he dwelled on it, and he finally answered what seemed like an eternity of silence.
"Do not fret over such things. I am a kitsune, fullbreed. I am not a Nogitsune..." Not yet, he added in his mind... Not yet...

Kade watched him for a moment, then nodded his head. The fiercety left his eyes as he once more glanced in the direction Kit and Twisted had left. "I guess we should follow them... But, since the rain's stopped, let's eat and bathe first... We probably have a long journey ahead of us..."[/color]

Ranin nodded, looking off toward the ocean. The moon now shone brightly above the ocean, it's reflection in the mirror of the saltwater. He loved it, when the moon was a waxing cresent. Bigger, bigger every night, ever so slightly...
"I'm not hungry, nor do I need to wash off. I'm ready to go, but I can wait for you..." He said, still staring off at the moon. "I'm afraid of deep water... Always have been... It feels like it wants to pull me down, down, down, down.... Into a black abyssal infinity..."

Kade sighed. Ranin needed to eat, but he guessed he could push that later. "No, I'm fine..." He took a step forward, gazing into the distance. The two figures were gone. "But, we might as well start our journey while the scent is still fresh..." He moved forward, pulling his paws irritably out of the mud, where they had sunk in.

Ranins nodded and broke his gaze away from the moon and sea. He started walking off toward where they went... Inland... It could've been a thousand different directions... He dwelled on what happened, and realized that His sister, Kit, would not come back without a fight... They might have to kill her... No, Ranin would... Kade could not possibly... He would rather suffer her fangs... Then, if Ranin even could strike the deathblow, Kade would end him... How somberly righteous...
Also, what of Twisted? He was powerful, indeed. But, more powerful than a six-tailed kitsune? Maybe. Maybe. But... Nogitsune were very powerful... TWisted would be Ranin's bane, and he denied it not. Ranin's six, scroungy tails trailed behind him in a lowered position. Rank meant nothing in a fight, only how much tricks you knew...
