"Sometimes, when people take the time. Everyone's in such a hurry. It wasn't like this five years ago, when the crime level was low. Too much chaos. It may not seem like it but this place will soon be a necropolis, like the great cities Chin and Yado."he said remembering the fables he was taught,"A war approches..." He glanced around, making sure that no one was listening, "The resistance is strong, but not strong enough."

Her head tilted at the last mentioning of what he said. Brows knitting together in slight confusion. 'A resistance?' She questioned her voice dropping slightly. Green eyes glanced around for a moment and she just moved closer to Ginger, as if the horses massive body could be of some protection. 'What do you mean a resistance?' This was some what worrying. This village had always been peaceful, these people could handle a war or any kind. It would devistate them all.

Toji smiled, confirming her theory. He glanced around to make sure that no one was eavesdropping and passed her a slip of paper. "Think of it as a business card, it'll help you identify the contacts. Don't lose it." he whispered.

She took the piece of paper, glancing around as well then looking at his so called "buisness card." Her brows knitted even further and she looked back up at Toji. 'And how do you know Im not part of this rebellion?' She asked. He knew nothing of her! And like wise her with him. For all she knew this could be nothing more then a trick of some sort. Prehaps a joke set up by her friend. Oh if that was the case she would make sure there would be a war. In the back ground she heard a baker yell rather loudly about the newest breads that were fresh from the oven. A coin a roll! He shouted happily.

"This resistance is ment to free this town, we keep peice and regulate military affairs by making sure that no one kills innocent people in this place. Whether you believe it or not this town and the coastal town nearby, as well as countless villages and farmlands are under control by a group of six men who will try to create a dictatorship and kill all who cannot serve them in economics and military force. The resistance will not let them succeed." Toji whispered. He knew that this would shock her but it was true.

Sybil listened carefully. A dictatorship? The people here would never allow it. And indeed she was shocked, her brows raising and her jaw dropping slightly. She blinked a few times looking down at the piece of paper and holding it tighter. Then something sunk in and she laughed. Slowly her laughter grew and she looked at Toji, more laughter spilling forth. 'You're good. You are a very good actor.' She laughed again her hand coming to cover he mouth so as not to be totally rude. A few tears began to form and slid down from the amount of laughing but eventually it died down.
Sybil was shaking her head at her own foolishness and wiping the tears away. 'Tell my friend, I will meet him at the Inn and for dinner later this evening.' She bowed in goodbye, stuffed the paper in her pocket and began ot walk away. She thought it was all a big joke. It had to be. The people here wouldnt alow any kind of controlling leadership. He was a very good actor, he almost had her convinced. She glanced at Ginger as they were walking away. 'I bet you knew all along didnt you girl?' THe horse just neighed, feeling hungrier then ever. Toji pulled up his hood. Indeed he could act but he wasn't. The resistance was real. And so were the conspiracies of a dictatorship. Most of the people in this town were neutral. A good sixty-five percent were neutral still. He just hoped they'd fight for their own freedom. He needed her help. She was powerful enough to stop their plan. He needed to convince her before the secret leaders got to her.

The pair walked down the main street, this time the human making sure to keep a strong hold on the pouch at her side. She made her way through venders and typical rude people. Stopping only once to buy a bit of sweet bread for a snack..and a veggie or two for Ginger who ate them greedily. Soon her mind forgot the incident that had happened with Toji, if that was even his real name, and took to focusing on her surroundings. Placing old buildings near the new, replacing old shop names with the new. Seeing a few somewhat familiar faces but other then that just taking in the sights.
It wasnt long before she came to the final few steps to the stables of the Willows Inn. She glanced up at the oddly carved sign that declared the place and gave ginger over to the stable boy. She unloaded the bags and tossed them over her shoulder. They were light, but slightly heavier then she remembered but shrugged it off. The inside of the place was decorated in all wood furnishings. It was nice and simple. Something Sybil was greatful. She approached the keeper and began to tell him that she had reservations and all that other information, as well as some small talk. Toji followed her to the inn. He would wait until dinner and pay her a visit.

In the couple of hours Sybil had to herself, she unpacked her things, cleaned up, and took a nap. But before she slept she was thinking about the day occurances. It had been wierd..real weird. What if the man she had met was right. What if there really was a government trying to take over? This question and its consequences before finally dozing off for a few hours. She finally awoke and looked outside, the sun was starting to set so she assumed it was about 7:30. Stretching she got out of her bed and began to get prepared for dinner. Another change of outfit, this time it was much nicer.
A dark green kimono with a white sash and lighter green flowers. She did her hair into a bun instead of the pig tails and pocketed a few coins for a decent meal. Leaving the small room she began to head for town, to the place she had agreed to meet her friend at that evening. I hope he hasnt changed much, she thought, trying to imagine him all grown up and maybe mature. Yeah right.

Toji stood there thinking. 'What if she's a spy, or a double agent,' he thought, 'No, her eyes, they didn't have that look in them. The look of deceivement and murder.' He decided that he would wait until she returned to her room to make contact as her room was much more private.

Sybil found a place from her childhood easily enough. It used to be her favorite place to eat. Smiling she stepped inside, easily regonized first off by the owners. The elderly couple hugged and began to speak of how much she had grown. Sybil just smiled, blushing and nodding. Telling them of her small adventures now and then. EVentually she was able to sit down and it wasnt long before a hot soup was in front of her.
Dinner was uneventful, if not lonely. Her friend had never showed up. Sybil sat there one whole hour before finally giving up hope and begin to return to her room. Her shoulders were slumped forward as she headed "home." What had happened? She wondered. And she began to lightly chew her lip as she started to think of what could have happened to him. Hands reached up, taking out the bun and letting her long hair flow in the small breeze.
People were still out and about, though many were beginning to turn in. Venders were sitting around fires, gossiping over one thing or another. Mothers were calling their children in. These were the times she remembered and made the night somewhat better. She took a last look at the small town before turning the last stretch of road to the inn she was staying at, the lights in the random windows flickering gently with a welcoming glow.

The sounds of heavy footfalls ehcoed all around him, the men were coming closer, but there was no way that they would ctach him. He was just to fast for those mortal men. He'd be long gone by the time they reached the trees.
Running down the street he passed by houses, with mothers ushering their children inside, he saw them through the windows, putting out the fires and tucking the kids in bed. A nice warm picture, too bad he couldn't stop and admire it more. The few seconds he had slowed allowed the old merchants to catch up with him.
He took off up the road, a small inn was a little ways down it, and headed that way. He could hide in there, if the men didn't see him. A cry took up behind him, 'Stop Theif!' He just laughed, it wasn't his fault he had spent all his money, and had to resort to stealing so he could get a decent meal. He looked back as he ran, and in that second felt him crash into something. He was knocked to the ground, and sat there in the dirt, staring, with a dazed look, up at a young girl.

Toji hated waiting. It reminded him of the fear. The secret leaders thought that his village was too powerful for them so they sent their best warriors to destroy the village. He hid under an over turned cart in the traders' row. The flames consumed his village. Toji was brought suddenly out of his painful memories by someone opening the entrance door. Toji quickly turned around and unsheathed his katana. The magnificent dark blade glinted in the firelight.

The sound of the yells reached her ears, and registared slowly. Sybil had paused to turn to see where the commotion was coming from, prehaps it was the idiot who had stolen her things earlier. Yet as her body turned the force of something strong ran right into her, causing her to lose all sense of balence and fall to the ground. Flesh on her hands tore, fabric at her elbows ripped, and her rump would have a nice sore spot on it in the morning. Pain registared throughout her body from becoming so tense so fast. A soft groan left her throat and she shifted, looking at first at her bleeding hands then to the stranger that had run into her.
'Can't you look where your running?' She asked, not realizing it was the theif, then turned her attention to the torn outfit. Oh this had been her favorite too! she was about to touch to see if it was mendable but then paused, not wanting to stain it with dirty blood.
