Once upon a time, in a land far away a village dwelled. This village was perfect in many ways, and even though some saw many flaws within its limits, it only added to its utmost prefection. Merchants sang out prices and the uniquess of each of their products, trying to sell them before night fell. The smell of fresh baked breads filled the air, their aroma enticing everyone to have just a nibble. The sound of chickens echoed as well as the moo of cows and neigh of horses. People went on with life as they had the day before and the day before that. The latest gossip being the coming of the Carnival of the Year, one of the towns greatest events. It was to be this weekend, and already the inns were becoming full with travelers who eagerly awaited the celebration.
It was a rather warm winters day. The sun shone with no problem through a cloudless sky. Not even the normal cool breeze seemed to blow. Childern laughed as they played in the streets, not wanting to stay inside on this bright and beautiful day. A group of teenage girls stood in the town square, the days laundry in their baskets as they spoke of the cute farm boy down the lane and all of the new people that were coming in. Indeed no threat seemed to ever come to these people, not even a nightmare. It was cozy to say the least.
One new comer to the area walked through the streets. One leather gloved hand gingerly clutching the worn-reigns to a beautiful ginger colored horse. On the horses back rested a side-saddle, as well as a couple of plain bags, their obvious content is clothes and maybe a few trinkets, most dedicated to her witchcraft. The owner of the horse sighed as she paused, dark green eyes looking at a piece of torn parchment in her hand. Her blonde hair was pulled into two french braided pigtails, that reached alittle below midback. Her attire was typical riding attire, and showed signs of wear and weathering. A sigh brushed past her lips and she looked up again.
She wasnt here for the Carinval, being a native from here orignally she knew all about it and its main purpose, but it wasn't anything special to her. Mainly because she always had to work at one. But she was back for a reason. A friend of hers was in town, one who she hadnt seen since she was a child. And coming back from the place she had run away from made things alittle uneasy for her. It had changed so much. New buildings, tons of new faces. Had she really been gone that long? Shaking her head, Sybil moved down the street, in search of the place where she was supposed to be staying for the week.

Toji Kaeyofu walked down the street trying to attract as little attention as possible. His muddy, torn cloak pulled up around his shoulders and his hood up over his head. It hung down and dragged on the road. Not sure where he was going, he just kept walking deep in thought...

Sybil was still in shock about how much the place had changed. She remembered running around here as a little girl and it only took a moment or two to run to the other side of the village. Now she was certin if she tried that she would run into people and more buildings. She shook her head, gripping Gingers reigns tighter and doing her best to move around the people that seemed ot have no sense of traffic control.
A small growl left her throat as a man rudely ran into her. He grumbled something along the lines of, "Watch where you are going.' Before continuing on his way. Sybil stopped her mouth opened slightly as she watched the man walk off, rather quickly now. Well that was rude! She thought, but osmething told her to reach down. She did. Upon reaching her belt she felt something missing. The satchel in which she carried her money.
'Theif!' She suddenly cried, realizing that she had just been robbed. Easily, she moved round to Gingers side and seated herself on the horses back. It was the only way to catch him or hopefully some one would stop him for her.

Toji saw a man run by him carrying a satchel with a scared look on his face then someone on a horse go by so fast that it knocked him over. He lifted his head up so that his blackish-blue muzzle stuck out from under his hood and started following.

The man was a fast runner, but what was making it difficult for Sybil was the way he was moving through the people, and the way the people weren't moving for her. She growled then finally saw the theif topple over, triping over his own foot. She guided Ginger carefully towards him, then with some grace, jumped off the horse and landed right ontop of the mans back. She smirked and crouched down, extending her hand out and with out words, asking for the satchel. THe man squirmed lightly, but was both out of breath and energy, not to mention his back was no completely sore. And with some effort he handed back Sybil her money.
She smiled and got off of him, moving towards her horse, she began ot lead it away as if nothing happened. People of course gathered and laughed at the fallen man, and some parted out of the way for Sybil. Jerk, she thought glancing back and seeing him becoming surrounded by guards. What a wonderful way to start the day.

"Looks like the party's over," said Toji to himself," Wonder what happened..." He moved aside as the woman leading her horse away from the crowd amassing around the man. remembering the chase that he was following and called to the woman.

Sybil barely heard the faint cry to stop. She paused in midstep then but her foot fully down. Turning her head to see who had called out. She scrunched her nose at the sight of all the people. This village used to be so peaceful and now..well there were too many people. Ginger neighed softly, her large snout comeing down and try to grab a hold of one of the humans braids, indicating she was bored and wanted food. A hand reached up on instinct to stroke the beasts nose, insuring a nice relaxing evening the rest of the day.

Emerald eyes blinked at the man and she moved closer to Ginger for some form of comfort. A small smile came to her lips as he spoke, at his kindness that he showed a complete stranger. She shook her head, continuing to pet the great horse besides her. 'I actually have a room for the night.' She took out the piece of torn paper, glanced at it then handed it over to him. In scratchy writing it said Willows Rest 'I just dont know where this place is.'
She glanced around, hoping to see the said inn and go to it so she could relax before the day is done. Maybe he knew? She looked at him, 'If you could just tell me the general direction of this place, I'd be thankful.'

"Head East. It's out in the perimeter of town. There's plenty of taverns that way so if you get lost there'll probly be lots more places to sleep. Watch out, there's some thugs that way. I'll escort you if you like" Toji replied handing her back the paper. realizing what he was there for he quickly said, "Hey, I'm lookin' for someone. His Name is, uh, damn! I forgot. Anyway, he has like brown hair and blue eyes. Always carrin' a sword with a crystal on the hilt. If ya see him let me know. I bunk at the weapons and blacksmith shop up North."

Sybil couldnt help but smile at how friendly and some what abesent minded this fellow was. She took the paper back and glanced towards the east. Then listened quietly to his request. A fellow with a sword, brown hair and blue eyes. That had to describe about half the town there this weekend. She laughed and nodded, stuffing the paper into her side pouch. 'Alright, if I see him, I'll tell him you're looking for him.' She assured trying to surpress a small smile. Ginger neighed and she looked at her horse then faced towards the east. 'Thanks a lot for the help.' She said, really appriciating it that some one gave her directions.

"I'll be at that place that serves wasabi. I'll be there awhile, I could get you some food if you want. Just ask. There's too many people in the main roads. Pickpockets are about in the crowded streets, use the alleys." Toji offered. He was usually kind to people who didn't disrespect him but didn't let them take advantage. "By the way, my names Toji."

She actually didnt have the heart to tell him she was orignally from here and knew that around carnival time, you wanted to keep away from the main roads and avoid the alleys somewhat, theives tended to hide their loot there and be very protective over their riches. He was a talker though, she would give him that much. But polietly she shook her head. 'Im not hungry, I ate about an hour or two ago.' She gave a small bow in greeting, 'A pleasure Toji.' She stated standing up tall. 'I'm Sybil.'

"Nice to meet you, Sybil. If you need a sword forged or a bow carved call me. I know people here so if you need anything find a contact. The managers of my bissiness. It's dangerous. A few miles North my hometown was attacked by a foreign invader." he said thinking of the flames.

'You like to talk dont you?' She asked, not meaning to pick fun but merely make a point. She didnt mind it honestly, it had been a few days since she had a somewhat decent conversation with a person. (Hey Just wanted to tell you that you are doing great with keeping up with this roleplay. But now try and get alittle more elobrate. For example instead of him jumping from one topic to another. Give my character some time to answer. Also, try putting alittle more creativity into the post itself. Like say some one bumps into him, or how he glances at the sun or something. The more specific you are in roleplays the funner they are! ^^)
