He winced as her jaws caught the flesh of his shoulder. He eyed the wound and growled, red eyes gleaming as they eyed her. He growled and snapped at her maw, claws aiming to swipe it as well.

She backed off a few paces, snarling and shaking blood from her muzzle. There was a gash across it, for she had not moved quickly enough to evade his attack. She flared her white batlike wings suddenly, and leapt at him.

He tumbled over backwards, her form landing ontop of him. He grusomely reached up, trying to slash at her with deadly fangs, his legs pawing recklessly, his claws trying to cause pain to her as she was atop him. He growled constantly, his red eyes flashing and gleaming.
Suddenly, a red flame appeared on his forehead, and black flame began to engulf him. Red flames shot from from his maw and pelt, aimed at the fae, seeking to destroy her.

She ignored his fangs and claws, though they rent the flesh of her shoulders and chest. When the flame appeared on his forehead, however, she leapt away, barely escaping the hellfire. She knew of this ability. It was one characteristic to hellhounds.

Frostbite growled, and rolled over, standing on his feet. He frowned glaring at her. His lip curled up into a snarl, and he again began his crouched circle, eyes watching her intently. He knew he'd have to be more careful, for he had underestimated her.
He cursed himself for doing so, but he knew he couldn't change time.

She rushed at him suddenly, snapping at his flank, her eyes blazing.

He winced and barked when her fangs sank into his flanks, but he whirled around, pouncing at her from the side, claws out and teeth bared. He let out a feroscious growl of pain and anger, snapping his jaws as he flung at her.

She yelped painfully as his fangs tore into her side, and this caused her to lose her grip on him. She backed off a bit, merely crouching upon the ground, yellow eyes watching him carefully.

Frostbite growled and backed up slightly as well, watching her closely. Was he really that eager for the deer, or perhaps he was just up for a good fight. He didn't quite know, perhaps it was both. He snarled, orbs still gleaming. He suddenly slashed at her again, aiming to knock her down.

She stumbled, and barely managed to regan her balance. However, in the slippery mud and driving rain, she fell anyway.

He stood over her, eyes and fangs gleaming as he snarled. He shook his head, relieving the water that soaked it, only to have it soaked again by the pouring rain. However, Frostbite knew better than to suppose he had victory, for he had learned not to be supposing from past battles he had fought.
He glared down at her, wondering if he should attempt to kill her or leave her alone. Such thoughts do not often happen in a hellhound, such as himself, but the thought did. He frowned and then slashed his jaws at her throat, aiming to end her life.

She jerked away, the hellhound's savage jaws just clipping her throat. She was bleeding badly, but she knew her wounds were not life threatening. Snarling, she lashed out with the sharp claws of her forepaws.

He whined as her claws tore the flesh of his shoulder, and he glared at her, growling fiercely. He backed up slightly, the wound he had recieved stinging badly. He glared at her angrily, cursing coming from his wolven lips. He did not slash out, this time, but merely kept his focus and eyes on her. He watched her carefully, eyeing her every move, studying her, looking for every advantage. Where was her weak point, if she had one, and how could he catch her off guard.

Normally, she would have given up long ago, but she was defending her kill, and that was another matter entirely. She crouched, but did not leap, for she was wary of this creature's demonic hellfire.

Frostbite ruffled his feathers, shaking them of the rain that weighed them, only to be soaked again but it didn't bother him. He again began to circle about, keeping keen eyes upon her constantly, looking for the time and place to make his move. As he did so, he felt the mud beneath his paws, squish and squash and splash about. He ignored it except for the fact he wached his footing so as not to slip.
