He growled, not trusting her. He trotted around, nearing the deer. He eyed it and then looked back at her. He was standing on the opposite side of the deer as she. "Well, if someone doesn't eat it soon, then this thing won't be worth eating," he muttered.

She began to limp towards her kill. "You can... eat after I've... finished."

He shrugged and turned, heading off into the brush, however he did not leave but simply waited there. As he waited, he began to tend to his wounds. At least she was giving him something, but he could use this for a chance to get her. Perhaps he should surprise attack when it was his turn. He shrugged and laid his head between his paws, patiently waiting. Maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't.

She positioned herself so that she was facing the hellhound, and warily lowered her head to feed. She knew not why she had given him permission to take part of her kill; perhaps she merely had not wanted to die.

He waited impatiently, his stomach growling. He wondered if he should just go off and get himself his own deer but he shrugged. This one was easier to sink his fangs into. He looked out, his red eyes glowing beneath the shadows of where he was.

When she had eaten her fill, she stood, rather shakily, and walked backwards into the forest. She didn't trust the hellhound at all, and knew that he felt the same way about her.

He smirked, carefully approaching from his spot he had stayed. He approached the deer with ease, but eyes always watched the spot from where she had gone. He ate hungrily, savouring the meat's taste on his tongue. He raised his head, and licked his blood stained maw, watching her for a moment and then once more dipped his head to eat.

She turned, and ran through the woodlands as fast as her injured legs would carry her. One thought stayed in her mind. I need a place to rest until my wounds heal... she thought.

He had finished, and was glad of the food. He raised his head and again licked his chops and then turned, looking about for a moment. He sniffed the air and then shook his head. The storm had now moved on, but the dampness and mud still lingered. He sighed and then trotted off, heading towards the lake. He was thirsty, and he also needed to rest. Keeping to the shadows, he made his way along.

With a despairing howl, she collapsed, unable to move one step further. She lay on her side, panting heavily. Blood oozing from the wounds inflicted on her body by the hellhound. Is this the end? As her golden orbs closed, however, she told herself firmly No! I won't die!

Frostbite jerked his head, his ears twitching. He had heard her desparring howl. He growled, and continued to the lake. Seeing its waters he quickened his pace. Reaching it, he dipped his head, rappidly lapping the cool water, grinning as it trickled down his throat. He lifted his head and then trotted off a ways, lying down beneath the shadows of a large tree.

She allowed herself to fall asleep, paying no attention to the rain that pelted her still body. It was unlikely that anyone would see her, as she was hidden by the ferns that grew on the forest floor.

Blood hued orbs gazed out from where he lay. He sniffed the air constantly, as his ears twitched. He waited a while, simply keeping his senses alert. He sighed and then placed his head between his paws. He glanced at the wound that was still on his shoulder and then growled. He then closed his eyes, at least trying to rest, but his ears were alert all the while. For a moment he simply lay there, listening but then he raised his head once more. Rising to his feet, a low growl escaped his lips, his eyes searching the terra. He was sure he wasn't alone. Slowly, he slunk into the shadows of the brush, sneaking along and looking about with keen eyes. He was still rather weak, but he ignored that as he went along.

She was curled up now, and save for the steady rise and fall of her sides as she breathed, she appeared to be dead.

Frostbite crouched lower so that his underbelly almost touched the earth. He looked about carefully, his ears twitching. His fangs were bared and gleaming, a small wind stilll in the air tossing his fur about.
Indeed, there was another creature in these lands. Dark green orbs looked out and about through the forest, intently. Slowly, a form stepped out and one could see her clearly. She was a bit larger than most for a female. She had thick, dark brown fur, that rippled about. Her large ears were lain back against her head. Her maw was very much of regular size, but was rather slender, giving it a longer appearance. Her large, round head moved about with her orbs. Her long, well-arched neck held her head high. She had a long, round but rather slender body with strong shoulders and thighs. Her limbs were also long and slender, and the way she stood, it made her look quite a lot taller than she was. Her paws were small, but well balanced as her tail was also long and slender.
She moved from her taller position and crouched low to the earth. She sensed something. A low growl came from her lips as she gazed around. She began to move fowards and then, breathing reached her ears. She looked around for its source and caught a flicker of silver. She moved foward, and peared out of the bushes, her colors giving her complete camoflouge.
She saw Malice, strewn out upon the ground and she frowned, almost gasping. She slowly moved foward, sniffing her carefully. "Are you ok?" she asked softly, barely above a whisper. [/center]
