Stockily built femme trekked steadily into the forest, her body held low to the ground. The deer she had been chasing had fled in here, although it was badly wounded. The scent of blood was strong, leaving a trail that was easy enough to follow. Now all she had to do was get to the doe before some other predator did.
Lightning flashed, briefly illumining the gloomy sky, and then there was a deep rumble of thunder. Malice tensed momentarily. It's only a storm, she told herself. She knew she should seek shelter, for this storm promised to be violent, but she couldn't stand to let that deer escape. It was her prey... She wouldn't let some scavenger get ahold of it. With a soft, determined growl, she padded through the forest, ignoring the rain that had begun to fall heavily.

The lightning that flashed, brightly danced about the skies, rain pouring down thickly and adding to the loud booms of thunder, clashing with anger above. Trees swayed to the will of the storm's strong winds and such, and the air was damp with it.
From the deep shadows, another form watched, his blood red orbs eyeing the femme sharply. A short, though muscle thick maw, sniffed the air, black nostrils flared. Long, thick black fur rippled wildly in the wind, its white and blue streaks showing plainly against his black pelt. Small, sharply pointed ears were lain flat against his head, trying to keep the noise of the storm from being too loud in his eardrums. Short but very thick neck rested on his long body, though towards his rump it was rather thin. His limbs, long and slender, but his thighs bulging with the powerful muscles beneath. His large paws encased long, sharp claws, his long and slender tail hanging behind as if merely a ribbong or flag. Long, black feathers ruffled also, as his large wings were folded over his back. They too were black with white streaks, and blue tips.
As his maw was stuck to the air, his maw could smell the wounded animal. Saliva began to drip from his jaws as his lip curled into a snarl and his fangs gleamed. His stomach roared hungrily with the thunder, and he began to slink along, still trying to keep hidden by the shadows. Frostbite licked his chops and eyed the femme. The smell of wounded deer was thick in his nostrils.

She turned slightly, sure that she had sensed another watching her. Yellow orbs scanned the underbrush until she spotted the blood-hued eyes staring sharply at her. She felt the silver fur along her spine rise, for this did not bode well. She could sense that this creature was evil.
But she had more pressing matters at hand. Shaking her head to rid her eyes of rainwater, she continued through the thick forest, following the scent of blood.

Frostbite scowled when he realized he had been noticed. He knew not whether it had been his white and icey blue streaks, or his blood red orbs, or perhaps both. It didn't matter to him, he only cared that she had noticed him. He frowned and continued to follow along.
He was now no longer much interested in her, but the thick smell of blood in his nostrils. He once more licked his chops, his fangs continually gleaming in the flashing of the lightning in the skies above. He ignored the rain that poured heavily around and upon him, that soaked his fur right through. He growled at it but that was it. He began to quicken his stride, easily going along through the shadows where he still remained. He felt sticks crack beneath his paws and leaves rustle as he brushed by them, but their sounds were drowned out by the thunderous sound waves that filled the air.
His stomach groaned, and he longed for the taste of deer meet in his teeth. He snarled once more, his own voice lost in the storm. His blood red orbs searched the terra keenly, watching for any signs of the wounded animal that he and the fae sought, the one in whom they both were driving to reach before the other, and would even go to fighting for the prey, or at least he would, for it was in him to do so.

She now broke into a run, though she knew not what drove her to do this. Merely instinct, suggesting that there was another creature after her kill.
She paused, slowing to a fast walk, as she spotted the body of the deer lying in the underbrush. Growling deeply to warn off any scavengers, she approached.

Frostbite growled as well with the site of the deer they had both been following. He also approached, just to her side, red orbs glaring at her and fangs gleaming. He growled again, louder than before, and unsheathed his claws.
He was merely doing it because of his hunger. He had not eaten since two days before, and even then he had only found a large hare.

Head whipped around, yellow eyes glaring fiercely at him. Lips were pulled back in a savage growl to reveal long, sharp white fangs. The pale grey fur along her spine bristled, making her appear larger than she was. Tail was held stiffly out behind her with agression, ears were held flat against her skull.

He glared at her, a fierce snarl excaping before a feroscious growl. He crouch low, as if to pounce upon her, his tail also stuck out in aggression, and ears lain flat against his head. Sharp teeth were shown behind his gleaming fangs. Fur bristled along his back, and claws scratched at the earth beneath him.
He barked and growled again, never taking his eyes from the fae. He began moving around her, always his eyes on her, looking for the right place and moment to attack.

She circled with him, head lowered to protect her vulnerable throat, watching carefully for some mistake or slip on his part. She snapped at him suddenly, hoping to catch him off guard.

He jumped back slightly at her snap and growled, glaring at her. Eyes watched her sharply as he returned to circling, his head also lowered. Claws made markings in the mud, and were washed out by the pounding rain, which he ignored.
After a moment, he did his own turn, snapping at her with angry jaws. A flame was in his eyes, and he had completely forgotten, temporarily about the jewel around his neck, with swirls of black and red in side it.

She, too, jumped back slightly now, leaving deep pawprints in the mud. she was startled by how close this creature had come to biting her, but she was not afraid.

He growled angrily. He continued circling around, but then the sound of chains, rubbing together caught his ears. He felt the amulet that was hung on the chains around his neck, and smirked, remembering the fact he had the demonic element.
He snarled, glaring at her. He hoped she did not have any elements, but he could only hope. Though, he didn't yet use the element he had, he merely waited, keeping his head lowered and his eyes glaring at her.

Though she did not have any magical abilities, she was still a powerful wolfen. Her yellow eyes now fixed upon the amulet around this creature's neck. She had heard that some creatures used amulets or some other outside source to control and direct their power.

Frostbite still did not use his abilities, but continued to circle. At last, he lunged at her. His paws swiped at her, his claws gleamed as they attempted to rip her flesh. Jaws snapped towards her, fangs gleaming brightly.

She leapt away again, but this time was not quick enough, for his claws opened three shallow wounds in her chest. Angered by this, she snapped savagely at him, hoping to wound him in some way.
