"GLASS!" she suddenly blurted out, with a happy and triumphant bark, wagging her tail violently. "It's glass, I am sure of it," she said with a wide grin. "It's made when the sun heats the sand to a certain point, and depending on the heat and the amount of time, it makes different sizes of glass. And, it breaks really easily. The edges can be very sharp, and when it is cold it is really pretty," she said, repeating what someone had taught her long ago. She smiled, happily trotting around.
After a few moments, she again touched her nose to it, and this time did not jerk away. "Hey, it's cooled off now." she said, looking at Feral with eager eyes.

"I still don't want to touch it," Feral said with a slight shudder. "I'm sure it's a human thing... Don't they make stuff out of this 'glass'?"

She looked at him and frowned. "Yes, they do, but this is natural. Besides if humans did set this, as a trap to catch us, they should know that we aren't a bunch of stupid rats. We actually have brains and humans should learn not to mess with certain animals," she said, looking around, beginning to sniff for humans. "Besides, this doesn't even have the scent of humans on it," she added.

Feral gave an uneasy growl. "I don't know," he said. "It makes me feel nervous. Call me paranoid, but..."

"Actually, I don't think you are paranoyed. I mean, you were sure of the hellhound, even when I said he wasn't there. I usually have pretty good sences, but sometimes my playfullness takes over." she said, looking down with a small blush. "I think we probably need to check for humans, for safeties. But, one thing, you do need to learn not to be such a Jonny-Rain-Cloud." she said, with a grin and a happy wag.

Feral shrugged. "I can't help it," he said. "It's my nature. Just like playfulness is your nature."

She shook her head and frowned. She shrugged, "I know," she said, before trotting off, sticking her nose to the air, trying to sense if men were close. "Well, if there is one thing I wish, I wish I could have the next rank up. Then I could actually have an ability," she mummbled, still sniffing the air, but not as foccused. "Sense anything?" she asked, looking at Feral.

Feral shrugged. "I don't know. I'm not sure I really want an ability, to tell you the truth."

She shrugged, "Ok," she then looked around. "Well, I don't know about you, but I do not see any humans around, nor do I sense any. So, unless you do, I am going back to the glass." she said, almost turning around, until something else caught her eye. She looked, and saw something waving, twittering about in the breeze.
She looked closer, and then followed it up into a tree. She looked at it questioningly, before a low growl arose in her throat. "Look, it's a human," she muttered.
The human, a young girl, was reading a book. She caught the growl and jumped, startled, looking down at the animals below. Fear went to her eyes before she smiled. "Hey there," she said in a soft voice.

Feral whined softly, glancing nervously at Katarina. "I thought you said there weren't any around," he said. Still, the young girl didn't seem to wish them harm.

"Well sorry, I think I might be becoming ill, my senses haven't been acurrate lately." she muttered, still glaring at the girl. She let out another growl and a snarl. "Come on, let's go. She could be being used as bait," she said, turning to leave.
The girl looked at the canines, questioningly and curiously, while twisting a few strands of hair in her fingers. "Come on, don't leave, I'm not going to hurt you," she murmered, her voice merely a whisper.
Katarina looked at her, her voice ringing through her ears, almost like a charm singing to her. "What does she think we are, stupid?" she asked, glaring up at the girl, that still sat on the low branch.

"I dunno..." Feral cocked his head slightly, staring at the girl with solemn yet curious silver eyes. "She looks pretty innocent to me."

"My point exactly. They always seem inocent, and then they spring a trap on ya," she said, shaking her head. Memories flooded her mind of when this sort of thing had happened to her friend long ago. She shook her head, the memories leaving her mind and then looked up at the girl. She sighed, "Ok, maybe I am being a little hard, but that was only cause I was mad at myself." she muttered. She sat down and barked, wagging her tail and looking up at the girl.
Akina grinned happily. Placing a sturdy hand on the branch where she sat, she easily swung down, landing gently on the ground below. She sat down, crossing her legs, and placing one elbow on her knee. The other hand she used to try to gently coax the canines to approaching her. "Come on," she said in a gentle voice.

Feral took a small step forward, his fangs baring themselves in an involuntarily snarl.

Katarina frowned at him, standing up and beginning to slowly walk towards the girl. She swished her tail in his face as she walked by. Looking at the girl, she stopped, sitting down a couple of feet from her. She then looked at her with curiousity, stretching out her neck and maw to sniff her.
After a while, she grinned, wagging her tail. She gave a yip and looked back at Feral. "Come on, I think she's ok, though I have never met one, ma always told me that some humans are good. I think she might be one," she siad with a smile, barking happily.
Akina smiled at Katarina, extending a hand towards her. She recieved a growl and a snap, so that she jerked her hand back, but she still kept her eyes on the wolfess. She then looked at Feral. "Come on, there's nothing to fear," she murmered slightly, giggling pleasantly as she began coaxing him toward her.
