Foxes were, perhaps, less afraid of humans than some other animals. After all, they often lived in cities, where the scent of humans was strong. Be that as it may, Feral could not help being curious about this girl. Sitting down a few feet away from her, he extended his muzzle to sniff at her.

Akina giggled pleasantly at the feel of noses against her soft skin. She again tried to extend her hand towards them in order to touch their soft fur. Again, she recieved a growl and a snap from Katarina, so that she jumped slightly, but continued to try to pet Feral.
Katarina glared at the girl, with curious yet cautious eyes. Her tail wagged, though slowly and she cautiously began to walk around Akina, sniffing and examining her. At each moment the girl should move, Katarina jumped back, waiting a moment and growling before carefully again walking around her.

Feral closed his lavender eyes, wagging his tail slightly at the girl's touch.

Akina grinned, happily petting the fox. She scratched behind his ears and under his chin. "You know that I won't hurt you, don't you?" she asked in a soft voice, smiling. She then looked at Katarina, waiting patiently for the wolfess to also accept her. "Well, you can do things in your own time," she murmered, gazing at Katarina before again returning her attention to Feral.
Katarina scowled and whined, sitting down and looking at them curiously. "Well, you're just the favorite," she murmered, still looking at Akina intently. At last she relented. Lying her ears against her head, she moved closer to the girl, looking at her intently. She nudged under her hand, asking for attention as well.
Akina smiled, petting both happily. "I guess you got jealous," she said happily. She then noticed the wings upon the wolfess. Her eyes suddenly came to that of only wonder and curiosity. She ran her hands over the wings before examining each feather. "Wow, I have never seen a wolf with wings, though father used to tell me stories," she said in a soft voice, still looking over the wings with interest. She half wanted to demand for a ride, but she knew there was no point in such. She looked at Feral and frowned. "How come you don't have wings?" she asked, running her hand through Feral's fur on his back.

Feralwasn't sure if the girl would understand him, but he said "Some of us have wings, and others don't."

Akina had learned the wolven tongue, to a point. Her father had taught her much, and she knew quite a lot. Though, that was quite some years ago, and she caught only most of what he said. Her ears twitched, as she was surprised she had understood even some of what he said. She looked at him, her eyes now even more full of curiosity and wonder than before. Slowly, her memory of that language came back to her mind. "I knew that," she murmered in wolven tongue.
Katarina stepped back, ears perked up as she listened, head cocked in confusion. "Did she just say something?" she asked, looking at Feral. She trotted over and sat down by her friend, thought swirling through her mind. She was surprised when the girl answered her question, giving a nod and saying 'yes'. She frowned and then looked intently at the girl.

Feral moved his head, startled. "Who taught you the wolven tongue?" he asked somewhat suspiciously.

Her words were soft and pleasant. "My father," she said, plucking a flower and running her fingers gently over its many petals. She looked at him and gave a grin. "It isn't perfect though."
Katarina frowned, "And who was your father and what was he like?" she wanted to know. Katarina sensed something about this girl. She couldn't say whether bad or good, but there was something there.
"He was a good man. He always loved little children, though he was strong and good at almost anything. He taught me most of everything he knew, including many languages." she said with a smile. "And, why is it such a big deal?" she asked.

"Because," Feral said, "you're a human. And while some of you mean us no harm, there are others that do."

"You can trust me," she murmered reasuringly. She again reached out to pet them, her hand stroking their fur with ease. "At least I have some new friends," she said softly with a smile.
Katarina shrugged, looking at them both. She relaxed as the hand stroked through her fur, she had to admit it did feel nice. "I guess so," she said looking at Feral.

Feral arched his back, much as a cat will do when it wants attention. He truly enjoyed the company of this girl, and somehow sensed that she didn't want to hurt them.

Akina grinned, running her hand through their pelts. After a moment, a voice could be heard in the distance, calling her name. Akina sighed and stood, gathering up her things swiftly. "See you guys later," she called happily as she ran home. The voice could be heard, scolding her for again entering that land but it soon was kindly telling her to go inside and wash up for dinner.
Katarina looked the way the girl had gone for a moment before looking at Feral. "Well, at least we know the glass wasn't made by humans," she said happily. "She's nice," she added wagging her tail. She turned and trotted off, shaking her fur everyone once in a while. "I just don't want to become her pet, she got her human scent all over me," she mummbled as she quickened her pace towards the beach.
Looking over her shoulder at Feral she grinned happily. She made a turn and then jumped, easily diving into the salty waves that dashed around her. She then began playing happily about in the ocean's water, splashing playfully.

Feral howled a farewell to the girl, watching her with lavender eyes as she ran off through the woods. He then turned and followed Hikaru, leaping gracefully into the blue waters.

Katarina happily grinned and played, dashing towards Feral and running about. At last she trotted up onto the shore, shaking herself off, sending many droplets scattering. She wagged her tail, which did its own share of scattering water droplets, and smiled at Feral.
"That was fun," she said with a small laugh. With that, she tore off along the beach, racing happily along. As she ran, waves tumbled in around her paws and sank back to the ocean. She looked over her shoulder at Feral, and then turned, changing her direction. She raced up on the sand and then tummbled over, rolling about and burrying her fur in the sand.
For a while she simply laid there, gazing around happily and contently, her fur now soaked and covered in sand that stuck to her wet fur. She giggled playfully, before sitting up, wagging her tail, which made a little place in the sand. "I love doing this. After getting wet, getting all sandy, and then diving in the waves to get all the sand off." she said with happiness. She looked at Feral. "Care to join me?" she asked pleasantly.
